Thread About Nothin

Well I got the car towed today, looked under it and it seems my connector bearing failed on the driveshaft and ripped it up pretty good, its repairable but I'm not sure of the long term effects on the diff and trans.

Carrier bearing. You can buy a new one for pretty cheap or I can get you another drive shaft if you want.

I doubt you did much damage to the diff or trans; they are pretty tough.

We replaced the carrier bearing when we bought the car, that along with ujoints... This problem WILL happen again since the car already had rear end problems, it tends to bounce real bad while accelerating, and always has done the same.

I tell ya what Taylor, you buy my car, and I'll buy Danny's V70 T5.

Actually, nevermind, I wouldn't want to see you kill another Volvo- let alone mine haha.

My car half exploded last night.... Bye bye Trans/driveline/rear end.

So dramatic! You need a new car, buy my Volvo or my Honda. One is more reliable than the other.

Sounds like you did a poor job of replacing it honestly. Also sounds like you need new track rod bushings.
