GiRaff3
NO response from his Commander. We sent an e-mail back and forth last week, I am surprised he has not got back to me. He was supposed to talk to Sean at the battle assembly last weekend.
mune237
NO response from his Commander. We sent an e-mail back and forth last week, I am surprised he has not got back to me. He was supposed to talk to Sean at the battle assembly last weekend. If you don't mind Please keep trying. I really do wish Sean has a good reason, even if I don't get anything from him for awhile. Even though I've never screwed anybody else over, I have fallen on though times before.
washdup
Even though I've never screwed anybody else over, I have fallen on though times before. As a prosecutor of financial crimes, my money's on he didn't start out intending to screw anyone. I do know Sean exists on a shoestring budget. Taking all those deposits . . . . My bet is he started to juggle and things got out of hand. That doesn't necessarily make you a thief--unless you keep accepting money, which it's hard to say whether that happened. Even though there may be no theft crime, the ethical and moral obligation to stand up and communicate to his creditors, and the legal obligation to repay them (even if it's by small payments over time), stands. Well, I for one, could accept that. He hasn't left me financially ruined, but he needs to contact me and make some kind of a mends. But to be completely absent with my funds and hardware is totally unacceptable. So maybe it's not technically a crime, but I feel as I am a victim of theft, and Sean is the thief. EDIT: Who should I report this to? I'm in WA State. Sean is in CA. Edited July 16, 2010 by mune237
gilber33
Has anyone contacted some sort of authority figure yet or not? I know if I went months without receiving the item I purchased or a refund, I would have called the police right away, especially when everyone has as much info as they do on him. It's a shame, but I think something other than waiting on emails should be done. Luckily, I've never been in a situation like this and I feel for everyone who's dealing with this, but maybe it's time to take another course of action. 1

Snabb T5M
Gabe good idea. What about contacting his army base military police? I bet they'd be interested in hearing about this? While not be considered a theft crime in the legal definition, it is surely interstate fraud using the internet. Unless you are saying there is nothing legally criminal he has done and it is a civil issue. I find it hard to believe there is nothing criminal here, regardless of his initial intentions.

My exact thoughts! From his posts he seems more like a guy who does not think things through, and I am sure the profit was already spent on silicone zip ties and kmart drag radials. You guys might be in luck I noticed someone on TB offering money for nudes of his grandma . I know he is only 30+ something but hopefully his nuts decide to migrate south soon and drop down into his sack. It would be nice to see you guys get your money back. On the same token some of the recent problems on this board could be avoided if people take 2 minutes out of their busy schedule and leave some feedback. In my experiences 10-20% leave feedback on here after their purchase, which is rather lame. Just like eBay, feedback works to help potential buyers and to motivate sellers. The guy had no feedback when the group buy started and still has no negative feedback (go figure), yet people line up to send him a nice chunk of change and/or their parts and are shocked that they got taken.
