My friend had a similar situation and filed report on this site http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx You should have seen how suprised the scammer who never shipped anything was when the law showed up at his door. He got his money all back. You guys need to be more proactive rather than waiting for a miracle. Whoever was ripped off fill out form. Its also a fedral crime because it was fraud across state lines so the fbi would get involved. This actually works, my dad used it a few years ago. He bought a $500+ key board off Ebay, guy never actually owned one, and he shit his pants when the police came knocking on his door. In the grand scheme of problems in California this would not get any attention. He is one guy not a corporation that is doing bad business. I live in North Ca, he is South, I cant get to him. All I want is my angled housing back, it was ported. From the sound of it, we will never see anything and probably at this point, unless someone is willing to go speak to him face to face, this is a closed thread. And you know this because....... ? Never underestimate the power of a bored LEO.... As Ryan stated, if everyone gets off their ass and files a complaint, stuff gets done. 90% of my work involves buying cars and parts, sight unseen. I have never had to take anyone to court, but the threat of a lawsuit and filing complaints with the proper authorities has saved me thousands of dollars in the past few years alone. Thanks matt, if everybody takes the attitude I am just another number and nothing is going to change if I take the time to file report, then you are right, nothing will change. He will also be a higher priority because he didnt just rip off one person he ripped off several. I provided the information to be helpful but I cant force anyone to fill out the report. He had a friend and grandma present to prevent ass beatage. I doubt a dollar of that $3k went to making things right around the Volvo community. The only reason I know this is because the guy who bought the car came to buy my 245 recently (and backed out) told me the story. I guess he's banned here for some reason.
