shhhh... I just need a car first...

stop giving away my secrets!

I love the flat red, you should have done the same thing Black Betty has with the sides flat but the center line on the hood gloss, I think that looks way good.

Did you re-spray with a different red or just flat clear the existing red?

I have the idea if you want to do something crazy these guys haven't seen....you're on the right track John! But of course you'll need a car for this. :)

EDIT: You understand VW tuning ...It will take some money too

Its a completely new coat of paint. It happens to be very close to the 850R red, which is what the hood was painted in.

Thank you to everyone for the positive comments! This was a ton of hard work and I am glad that it can be appreciated by more than just myself.

I am very hesitant to touch the hood simply because the paint is absolutely flawless. I am going to give it a wet sand and get it to pop like crazy for some more contrast. I figure i can always spray it matte if I want to change it up.

ahh okay...

I think you need some white diamond racing steelies personally... that would set it off. I like the white, just not a fan of the wheel design itself.

Yeah me neither, but I need to work with what I have.

My turbo emblem was damaged while taking it off, so my one guilty pleasure on this car that Ive always wanted..

i have a love hate relationship with the porsche turbo emblums...

I'll get one of the emblums one day but i'll be on one of these

hah nice. Its not the exact porsche emblem, its a bit "fatter." Its the same size as the stock emblem, so its not a huge one that will plastered on the center of the trunk.

For that matter you could get another hood and spray it matte now that you've honed the skills.

I like his, except for the hood. I plan on repainting my bumpers from rock chips and at the same time paint the whole hood matte. The gloss is alright i guess but all matte with gloss belt line looks good.
