Oreo931 Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 I was hoping we could get a gallery going of custom/aftermarket shift knobs fitted to 850's/x70's. I am getting bored of the stock m56 black rubber shift knob, and the oem walnut wood shift knob. If you had to modify your shifter assembly to get the knob to fit, details of that would be great too!
ErikS Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Imagine that, you starting a thread about knobs. Good luck in your search.

Does that knob fit an S/V/C 70 or is it 850 only? And if so, what's the part number?

Yep, just make sure you cut and transfer the plastic ring at the bottom of the shift knob on your car right now (makes it look complete). Photoshopped to change color of knob:
HtownTurboBrick Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 I like that one guy's 08ish Mustang knob in brushed aluminum that matches the R trim. I can't find his thread tho.
BlackT5 Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Using the EST short shifter and knob. Never really liked it since day one, but haven't put much effort into looking for an alternative.
ean carr Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Cut the shifter 1~" but it sits right at, if not just below stock level
RZT5 Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 "So, how much is it worth, you may ask? The Bentley Gear Shift Knob is approximately worth $150,000 and features 30 carats of diamonds, and 10 ounces of 18-carat white gold."
Chilled man Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 I used sawzall and hot glue , it slide right down and on
