gdizzle
Was Krista pissed at all ? Kinda reminds me of the issues I had with my aircooled VW. Why is it still running hot ? HG issues or just poor circulation ? I suspect poor circulation. Going to pull the radiator and have it repaired.
gdizzle
So at what RPM does it start to overheat? No tach. However, it only starts to overheat at idle.
matt b
Would you be able to pull the radiator and check for flow yourself ? It'd be a crude method but you'd have some idea. What's involved in repairing it ? Were you able to check the fuel filter to see it was rust or just gunk from the tank in it ?

As for the fuel filter, no I haven't done that yet.
matt b
I didn't know that could be done to a radiator, good to know. If you need stuff from overseas, lemme know. I do get lower rates on some items + shipping from some vendors.

On older cars, these radiators are all metal, very simple, and hard as hell to find new for a reasonable price.

She drives a nice, safe, spacious Legacy GT wagon. In hindsight, I should have taken the T5 to the show, however I was certain the car would make the trip, and it technically did, albeit not the smoothest trip... matt b
Now with more Swedespeed exposure Does it actually run or is it just an excuse for nice pictures ?
gdizzle
Now with more Swedespeed exposure Does it actually run or is it just an excuse for nice pictures ? Yeah, it runs fine with a new fuel fitler. I bought a pile of generic fuel filters and threw them in the trunk.

Yeah I guess you'll eventually be able to change them fast enough that all you'll need is a red light.... How hard is it to drop the tank in those things ? Is it still the old 2 strap system ? I have a line on another tank too, so if mine is rusted from inside out, I'll just replace it.
