If you are a lifetime supporting member sign up and PM me your member name for a 50 dollar credit. Everyone else gets a 5 dollar credit, which works out to the first 500 dollars you sell is free this includes non-supporters. Works out to forsale just got 5 dollars cheaper and no need to maintain supporting membership for 12 months if you only sell something every few months.

:monkey: Seriously? We can probably thank the likes of L8Apex and friends for fuc*ing this up. Volvo Performance parts are now worth even less

Well guess I have another reason to get started on my 500Hp Sti Wagon :monkey:

Hope this isn't the beginning of the end.

We can all piss and moan about it or people who give a shit can put their heads together and come up with a way to make the old style f/s work, presuming chuck is ok with it. It sucks that a few people's actions shitted on a community, but that's reality and a fix could be as simple as the VS death penalty(permaban) for 2 infractions and creating a f/s review section with some strict and simple minimum requirements. I know this is Chucks site, but I think Supporting Members should be able to vote on the death of the F/S Section.

Bingo

Somebody finally hit it

It wasn't so much the rip offs that started this move. It was all the belly aching about it, that put this in motion

Yes, one of the main reasons I came here was for the classifieds. They were the best out there.I hope the new way works out.

This is just like feebay their were other options chuck could have done to improve the for sale section but to add a fee structure now is rediculous, you might as well sell on ebay and get the better exposure. If i do have something here and there to sell, swedespeed or volvoforums will be the move.

That's dumb. Chuck isn't charging you to list your items for sale. Last I checked Ebay listing fees are .50 for a basic BIN with no extras, for 30 days. Add a subtitle, extra pics...and you'll be over a few dollars listing fees right off the bat. And that's with the powerseller discount. For average joe's it's more. And it sure seems that the final value fees on VS are less than Ebay as well.

Personally I'll take the free listing in the VS auction (captive audience) and pay the fee if it sells. If I'm going to have to pay a final value fee of sorts anyways I'd rather it go back to this site than Ebay.

People always gripe and moan when changes are made to the old way of doing business. Should I link back to all the threads from the past few months where people are asking for accountability? This is how you do it. Besides, what will this cost you in the long run? It's better for buyers, and unless you are routinely selling multiple thousand dollar items the fee structure is reasonable.
