Che'_Moderator
+1. I'd like this question answered on the best way to go about this. (I have a 96 855R parting soon). Strip car, list parts. That or surf the wanted section. The whole car parting out nonsense is what started this. Don't sell parts that are not ready to be shipped. 1

(n)A-GAME
Hey Chuck, is there some way to set the For Sale feed to delete the item once it's been purchased automatically? I've been seeing a lot of "if the sale falls through let me know" type posts on sold items.
Fudge_Brownie
Hey Chuck, is there some way to set the For Sale feed to delete the item once it's been purchased automatically? I've been seeing a lot of "if the sale falls through let me know" type posts on sold items. How does that work? If the item is sold, and falls through... the thread and comments offering back up's will be gone. What if the thread became locked? I guess the only catch there is that only members sporting the appropriete membership status to post in locked topics would be able to make the back up offer. That's what I'm saying...I don't think the thread actually disappears when an item is sold, which is odd. For example I bought this FMIC kit, and the comments kept on rolling in well after the purchase. Link
Fudge_Brownie
It shiuldnt. I was analyzing your idea. How does it work if deleted
(n)A-GAME
If a big reason for the new format was to eliminate the clutter and make it much easier to browse through what's actually available, the ability to keep sold items alive runs counter to that purpose. That way it's pretty clear, that if it's still listed in the forum, it's available. I'd actually think a locked comment (or only allowing supporters to comment) would work pretty well to solve some of this too.
monkeybird02
How about a few simple improvements to the system? For instance, make it so you can view newly placed ads, or ads in order of when they were placed, without all this 'featured ad' crap. I dont care if an ad is 'featured'. I just dont want to look at the same ads over and over in an attempt to find new items. Also, how about a page advancement tab at the bottom of the page. No more scrolling back up to the top to get to the next page. Petty, I know, but it's annoying. If you're trying to make it like ebay, then make it like ebay. Just my $.02
Q-Ship
A couple of thoughts, fwiw - placing page #s at the bottom would make it easier to navigate. Also, one one computer, the images in the top display at huge size, while on the other they remain the small, ordered size. Both in latest FFX. This is probably a browser prob on my end. I wish I didn't have to sign in to ask a question: People need to offer more descriptions Seems like a nice marketplace with room to expand, too. matt b
What's the difference between deleting and closing ads ? I listed some wheels on both VS and SS, they sold on SS. I wasn't sure about deleting or closing, does it matter ? And Hussein: not sure someone gave you a -1 for that, I fixed it. But yeah, it was only 2, otherwise it'd be the deal of the year!

besthaticouldo
i prefer it so much, less bickering, less horseshit in the system. way easier to browse. nice to know you probably are not going to get ripped off. great system VS mods. love it. thanks for a badass forum btw. 2
ozzimark
I think that the FS bot needs to post who is listing the item when it creates the thread in the "old" FS section.
