GltGreco Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 Just want to see what most people on here do, i see a lot of all different ways and want to see the real stats.
ErikS Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 I use simple hacked M4.3 management mixed with pixie dust. Not an option in the poll so I went with "other".
mrbrightside2009 Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 mbc as long as your not driving like an idiot constantly.

Zappo Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 I have never liked out the EBC would bring on boost. The BSC was much more linear about it. I plan on running a MBC and the BCS in parallel. Just need to get it installed.
GltGreco Posted February 6, 2011 Author Report Posted February 6, 2011 Good tune? the question is whats controlling the boost setting you would have on the tune, would you have the bcs/tcv do it, or match the tune setting with an mbc etc....does that make more sense?
AverageVolvo Posted February 6, 2011 Report Posted February 6, 2011 I just installed a Gizzmo Ibc-r ebc. I was running a hallman pro mbc with ceramic ball and in-cabin cable(best mbc). I am REALLY happy with the Gizzmo ebc. Its has the traditional duty cycle and gain , but additionally it has Gain control Via RPM adjustment. My 19t is extremely linear and pulls like a mofo. And the over-boost is nice for people who tall gear it stupidly lol

How about ease of use? i know ones like the apexi have gear based boost but i think rpm is a better guideline
Fitzy Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 mbc as long as your not driving like an idiot constantly. Too late
esundell90 Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 get the GM EBC. Makes a world of difference. Lots of articles on here about folks who put them in.
Fake-R Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 MBC/EBC's are just senseless in my opinion. BCS/TCV and a good tune. That's the way to go.
AverageVolvo Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 MBC/EBC's are just senseless in my opinion. BCS/TCV and a good tune. That's the way to go. Bcs is a joke Fyi. Even compared to my Hallmap Pro Mbc And it's laughable to compare it to my EBC. That said if your going to stick with a Bcs do yourself a favor and get a 98 Tcv works very well. I was the biggest advocate of my Mbc. IT's great, but the Gizzmo ebc is F*ing amazing. FULL TRACTION IN ALL GEARS> I mounted the Ebc in the astray area and with flick of a button can adjust boost. You can literally control boost in any desirable manner. And I have run nearly every quality tune)Ipd Rica Bsr, St and TT) on my Mbc setup and my OLD bcs setup and with the Mbc parallel with the Bcs. A good ebc pawns. ZERO BOOST SPIKE.
Fake-R Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 I've not had any issues with my new OEM BCS. It works better than the old MBC I used, and holds boost just fine, without any spikes. I think the biggest problem is that people are still on the BCS that came with the car.
AverageVolvo Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Never tried a NEW OEM BCS to be honest. IPD is finally releasing their Volvo 850 HD Bcs. Maybe that's a good midpoint for the boost control. I am sticking my my Gizzmo though.
