7 VII 7
have you checked the fuse for the obd ll connector? Ummm... I was told and read that there was not one for the 850. Also if it did have a blown fuse why would the hand-held of my volvo shop work and not at the emissions station? I will double check again. 7 VII 7
I just doubled checked all the fuses in the fuse lid under the hood. There was one that was burn out but it was #30 Cig Lighter... everything else was fine. Is there a specific OBD-II FUSE? I have been looking on VS and matthewsvolvosite

Not yet, I have a couple people tracking down an ECU for me.

It's also shared with interior lighting, glove box and a few others. Even if the fuse appears to be good swap in another 10A in case of a weak fuse. If that checks ok, check for power at the DLC at pin 16.

I only get a 1 free re-test for emissions. I will see what Lucky has to say about the tune. Also if the handheld scanner showed MAF and O2 readings at my indie shop, is that different than what the Emissions OBD reader uses.. just kind of confused what is different about the reading. That's why I think it might be an OBD monitor. The monitor wouldn't screw with you getting readings, but it would prevent them from doing an emissions test. You didn't do a code clear shortly before trying to get inspected did you?
Tom.W
It's the tune. Swap in a stock OEM Ecu and get retested.

I did not clear any codes or anything before I got inspected It's the tune. Swap in a stock OEM Ecu and get retested. Trying to do that... but it is weird because I would not think the IPD Tune would do this to my OBD-II
7 VII 7
I picked up a 1997 GLT 850 ECU with no egr and SAS disabled. Will this work 100% and not hurt my car? I just need it to run, throw no codes, be ready and no burnt issues with the Ac.

Is this a custom tune for the SAS to be disabled? Also I’m not familiar with emissions inspections because we don’t have them down here...I assume that is a separate inspection from the Virginia State inspection? I have a ST tune from a 97R that I will let you borrow from one of mine that is sitting. Not sure if that would put you in the same boat as you are now with the IPD tune. 7 VII 7
So what other areas can I check besides assuming the IPD tune does not allow for Emissions OBD-II connection? The fuse looked to be good... any other ideas?
