Kaplhenke Adj Control Arms

Kit Vexed

You guys seriously mad my day thanks. But seriously kit. why don't you give it another shot with a second set of hands and another set of eyes. It could be as simple as missing something small that's f--king it all up. I know when I loose my temper working on something I can make a mistake tightening a screw.

If I were anywhere near you, I'd come up there and try to install them on your car while you sit back and enjoy a beer. Seriously.

Just go outside, try them again, and take pics of them not fitting.

The problem will then get resolved within a few days. Guaranteed.

How did you pay? I'd try filing a claim through Paypal or calling your credit card company if you went that route. It really sucks when you fork out a good chunk of change like that and get a half-assed product.

:o perhaps you tried fitting them on the wrong side?

I did that once, then realized fcp sent me to rights insted of a left and right.

Thats fine. Shoot some nice high rez photo and write up your impressions of the build quality, finish, and fit. Let me know what doesnt fit and why and we can update with photos later

Well, let's look at this seriously. You can bolt it up to the subframe, and the ball-joint stud fits in. The spindle should have enough free movement in it that this shouldn't be a problem. Why won't it go into the spindle, does the ball-joint not have enough range of motion to slip into the spindle? Almost sounds like you just need to jack up the strut housing a bit to reduce the angle of the ball joint for installation.

Where do you live in Ct? I'll come over and help you install them on a weekend, just to make sure you aren't missing something.

I've done a lot of suspension mods over the last decade in quite a few cars, and there have been times I've been owned by my lack of experience.

Here are just a couple of guys who either offered you help, or guidance in this situation, and if you really wanted it Pras would be of tremendous help! So get off your little Sh*t show of poor little me, nobodies gonna offer to help me. We are all here to help, it's just when you act like a D-bag your gonna pay the consequences

16 pages and the OP is still out almost $900.

No see this is a sad thing. :( Kit spent good money buying a set of shiny new custom made toys for his Volvo. It might have been a misguided purchase but nonetheless those toys are sitting on his workbench rather than bringing joy to his life. At least allow him his bitterness over the whole experience.

He brought that on himself. Had he handled things in an appropriate manner, he'd have $900.00 in his pocket. I'm willing to help recover $211.00 of that though. ;)

Ah we don't dispute that. There is just as much a thing called being a "Good Customer" as there is "Good Customer Service." But the piling on schadenfreude has become awfully rich here.

Can I raise it to $277? They would make nice bookends me thinks.
