The basic tenets of civil rights are included in public education: everyone knows that minorities have been oppressed in one way or another (Native Americans, slavery, Japanese internment camps, etc.), that Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat and that Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream, however very little is done to build upon that and apply it to modern day society. If you don't have time for a book, skim this wiki on white privilege. Racism in American society will forever exist, but if you open up your mind a bit you can at least step outside of the norm and perhaps increase your awareness as to just how easy Caucasians have it. Agreed, but not imposed by me, as I'm not a racist, nor did I or any of my family contribute to the racism. You're trying to impose a system of reparations on the population of a country which is highly variable through immigration and emigration, in order to make it equal for those who got shafted by the racist history. The issue is that in order to widely apply this, you punish the innocent as it is impossible to accurately target the perpetrators. First we are hitting your finances with our Casinos. At the last Pow Wow right after we finished making our loincloths we discussed making even bigger bows and arrows...just waiting patiently.
