matt b
The warm up regulator ? I have a couple spares, so I plan on pulling one apart and inspecting it for crud. And I think the turbo was upgraded, since the car is running a "Tour de Corse" intercooler, which was a common upgrade if you bumped up the turbo size. socal850tuner
I've seen 2 of these over the years. People brought them into the shop i've worked on and off for. One was a black one that was modded pretty heavily. They are are an interesting drive that is for sure.

Scania
They were all grey market, yes. But that color will ruin its value, tell him that. As for what I paid: I don't usually share that (see garage link for the wagon). But I got a good deal on it, enough of a deal that it's allowing me to buy NOS parts at a premium without issues. Scania
Sooooo much win Matt. I too will one day own my dream car as well. An Escort Cosworth RS LUX. Just like this one....yummy Good friend of ours had one of these he turned into a Rally car. Carl Merril. He was lucky enough to pass away doing what he loved Rallying it. Awesome Awesome car. You can find some pic's along with a tribute to him. http://www.74ghia.com/carl/
matt b
Dave: I have it insured with Grundy, it was cheap since I don't plan on putting many miles on it. Best approach is to register them as classic/vintage vehicles. No issue then. Craig: lemme know when you want me to import one for you . ;)
EVL WAGN
Good friend of ours had one of these he turned into a Rally car. Carl Merril. He was lucky enough to pass away doing what he loved Rallying it. Awesome Awesome car. You can find some pic's along with a tribute to him. http://www.74ghia.com/carl/ holy smokes...seriously???? I remember Carl very well. Being a Cosworth fanatic (my german shepherd is even named Cossie) and Carl raving one on the Canadian Rally circuit....I followed every race I could find on TSN. I didn't know the Cosworth claimed his life though. Craig: lemme know when you want me to import one for you . One day buds...one day. I had one lined up through an Importer here in Canada, but they couldn't find me a white LUX version. They found me a blue, red, and black one...I just really want a white one or the Mallard Green. They also had a version that was similar in colour to the Cassis that was very nice as well.

LouisvilleR
Wow! I had no idea this was going at your place! I need to get back on here more often. I'd love to come check it out sometime when I'm back in town. Looking great man, keep it up.
cptcook56
Superb matt the 5 Turbo 1 2 or Max was a true car unassisted short a "man's car". Only a pilot arrived at the master and exploit its potential. One of them deserve to watch what he was capable of driving a 5 turbo Jean Ragnotti 360 specialist particularly in exhibitions but also in race for fun on Renault 21 turbo Cptcook56
matt b
Carpet will be here this Friday. I should have a nice update this coming weekend. Parts from France should arrive early next week, I'm hoping to have the car up and running perfectly late next week. I don't like driving it as it is now: old fuel lines can spell trouble. Bumpers and undercarriage will be cleaned and coated this week. Graeme: swing by anytime.
MBXPilot
That is so awesome dude. I'm definitely gonna have to drop by and check it out.

matt b
Quick update. Lots of waiting on parts, not much to do until then. Received the exhaust manifold. If only the one on the wagon could look this nice. Pulled both bumpers to check and clean the body of the car and dye the bumpers back to grey. Renault wiring isn't known as a strong feature of these cars, and this is no exception. Bracket before: Bracket after: Stripped them to bare metal, primed and painted with Rust O Leum rust prevention paint. Bumpers after one coat Rear bumper re-installed
