Coilovers Lowered All The Way

Recommended Posts

Washed the car, and took the leap and lowered it all the way to see how low it would go, this is just full custom coilover, car rides almost like stock koni setup, a little stiff...handles great but is scary to drive on jersey roads

I am going to be making a few kits for friends, PM me if you are interested in one, also developing REAL coilovers for the rears, not the "coilovers" everyone else on the market has.

There will be two setups, one for stance and one for racing applications.

They look like yours...almost :) Theres a koni, a strut housing, a collar, a sleeve, a spring seat (bored out), a strut bearing, and a nut on top

So that confirms that the ride is infact horrible that low.

I don't understand how the ride could be anywhere close to 'stock'. If it was, your tires would be going through your fenders. I realize the balloons on those 16's probably take up a lot of slack, but my father is running 16's with 215/50 tires on koni race springs and yellows and it's still a thousand times more stiff than stock.

I'm not running stock tires on the 16's, running BFgoodrich 205/45/16's

So I'm guessing you didn't use a Volvo-specific Koni, but rather one (generic??) with a shorter body to allow the strut to maintain proper travel.

I just call it how I see it. You're either ignorant to the fact that it rides horribly or think we're all stupid and believe your BS.

Its not a volvo suspension, so your either blind or just plain stupid, but i've known that your an inbred retard all along :) if it was a volvo suspension and this low it would ride terrible because volvo konis are longer and therefore would have much further travel, but a shorter travel and raising the pressure inside the koni, and having it adjustable. It doesn't crunch over bumps it just glides over them, but with your IQ of lindsay lohan i wouldn't expect much out of you... mmmk?
