Jardim
Its funny how your building a BMW with a Volvo powertrain and maciek is doing the exact same thing in a different order lol.

maciekb2002
This is one of the ideas for intakes 4'' in to 2x2.25'' . I will have to cut off front turbo inlets . 2 vband clamps on each end and perfect fit . that should give me no vacuum leaks , But to finish that part I have to have turbos mounted So I slowly started fitting mercedes manifold in to volvo flange . I need one more volvo flange give it a nice cut and we have 2x3 cyl manifolds. Today I did some research about how to tig weld iron castings . It went super smooth. I machined plug ,then it was installed in to the hole where factory flex pipe was connected . Quick tig weld and this is what I got . Weld was a little to hot but I am happy with results I will connect volvo with merc flanges using 1.5'' long pipes weld it all together
maciekb2002
So It looks like I will use this belt. It is a 850 AC eliminating set up. I am not sure if Alternator can spin other way . If someone tried that before let me know please if it works And this is front turbo placed like it is going to sit in the car . Manifold will have flex connection between
lookforjoe
Nice! Alternator can run backwards just fine. That belt routing is not good though - you need to get a much longer belt with an idler where the AC was, & route belt around the alt pulley.... RX7 have problems with water pumps and there fix is an aftermarket bigger pulley . My bend is about double what they run. Also I have bracket and pulley that eliminates ac compressor from european market . If I have to I use that
Gideon35T
Why not angle the turbos? Most inline twin turbo setups I've seen will run the turbos at an angle so that routing the lines, exhaust, and induction piping (in and out) is easier and there's room to play with. As it sits right now I don't really see it working unless the exhaust ports out of the turbos at opposite ends of the motor. If I'm just not seeing what you're planning please let me know. maciekb2002
I took off timing cover today , Just to discover this. I think in this condition It will make maybe 2 revolutions and fall apart. Yes this is why you should change your T-belt and tensioner around 80k
