corivus
So in the process of putting in the new engine we discovered that the seals on the transmission need to be replaced, we pulled them and showing that they are Manufactured by NOK? the part number on the seal is bh4575e trying to order the part for the Output seal for the transmission and not seeing anything. Any help is appreciated, otherwise I'll try calling fcp or ipd on Monday. in case the info on my sig isn't cleared 1994 Volvo 850 Turbo Automatic transmissionI'm thinking its this one? http://www.fcpgroton.com/product-exec/product_id/16195/nm/1994-1997+Volvo+850+Turbo+Drive+Axle+Seal-Automatic+Transmission
heat391
This is the seal that goes where the axle shaft enters the transmission. You'll need one for each side, so order 2. If the transmission is not installed yet, you might want to replace the input shaft seal http://www.fcpgroton...category_id/104 This seal goes behind the torque converter
bergmjs
As said, replace the input shaft seal! Its really easy if the trans is already out, but makes for a major headache if it starts leaking badly up on the highway. My girlfriend's input shaft seal took a dump halfway to Acadia and we had to turn around and try to make it home refilling the transmission every 30 miles. Most of the ride was a huge smoke show since it got on the pass axle which slung it up onto the exhaust. Almost made it home, then got towed. But yea, moral of the story, replace it before it quits on you.
