when i connect the amp in 3 channel configuration the fron speakers(connected directly to HU) do not emit sound(not low, no signal at all) the rear speakers work ok. if i dissconnect the rear speakers from the amp the sound commes again. can anybody explain this. the HU has 1 preamp output (2 channels) but im using a Y addapter to connect it to the amp.

Actually, I don't know what are you talking about. Do you have any Diagram what are you trying to do?

in my avatar you can see the schematic. i connected teh sub into bridges mode like it appears on the bottom of the image and the rear speakers in stero mode, but when i do this the front speakers dont work anymore if iu remove the rear speakers the front work again. and i said that my HeadUnit has only 2 RCA channels out(left, right) but im using a Y RCA adaptor to connect them into the 4Channel input of the amp. the amp can be selected to have 2 or 4 channel inputs .

You need at least a 5-ch amp to power up front, rear and sub speakers. Coupling the RCA output is no problem BUT You CAN'T use RCA (low-level) output and speaker (high-level) output from your Headunit at the same time. There is a way for your setup but I dont guarantee it'll be good.

You need to connect the left side (front & rear) together, as well as the right side (front & rear). In case of tweeter, you can connect it altogether but you need to remember they are separated by left or right side, not front or rear.

Guest bing_0 at work

just follow bogelo's diagram and you will be fine, assuming of course this is a four channel amp, turn the amp to 2 chn input, and away you go, make sure you follow that diagram (precisionly drawn as it is ;) ) exactly...

so its is mandatory to connect both front and rear speakers to the amp. i cannot run the fron speakers from teh head unit. but i should note that the subwoofer runs with the speakers when they are all connected to the HU.

anyways Thank you all, i'll see to it tomorow and nice drawing by the way :)
