Pensacola auto dealership accused in racial harassment suit The Associated Press PENSACOLA, Fla. - An auto dealership is accused in a federal lawsuit of failing to stop employees from harassing black workers by using racial slurs, jokes and epithets, and displaying a hangman's noose in a work area. The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is suing Centennial Imports Inc. of Pensacola in U.S. District Court here. "Racial discrimination is intolerable in any workplace," said Federico Costales, the commissioners Miami district director, in a news release Monday. Centennial Imports, which sells new Mercedes-Benz and Volvo cars, did not return a call seeking comment Tuesday. The suit alleges upper management did nothing after black employees in the dealership's detail shop had complained of being subjected to slurs, jokes and epithets from supervisors and other workers. The harassment, instead, worsened to the point where a supervisor displayed the hangman's noose in the detail shop, according to the suit. The commission is seeking an injunction to prevent future acts and unspecified compensatory and punitive damages on behalf of the black employees. One of the employees at the pub down the street from me drew "Happy September 11th" with the twin towers as the "11" and a plane flying towards it on an arabic guy's to go order box on 9/11 this year. If you are in jail you cannot vote again unless you petition to restore your voter rights. You wrote God without capitalizing. Your going to Hell. about 50% of folks dont pay income tax, and of course GE neither... They can vote, but its pure idiocy that they should get an earned income tax credit and get a "refund". .. The problem is many of the folks not paying are getting handouts and vote for the person that hands it out in the biggest stack. With out regard to other issue. Or whats best for the country. And that means corporations too. Flat tax and cut govt spending and I'll know your serious. Anything else is a farce and just prolongs status quo. And God doesn't pick your station for your. You get free will. Thats the gift. The rest is up to you. And if its handed to you, somebody somewhere in your family tree worked their asses off and sacrificed and invested and took chances to get it. See my sig line.
