SnapCracklePop
I CAN NOT get the last screw which so happens to be the screw to hold the heater hoses back in my new heater core! I've been at it for a few hours now and it's only this one screw. Why isn't it going back in? It's almost as if the screw isn't long enough. I know it's the right screw because it screws in the threads with the hoses pulled out. I'm getting extremely frustrated, especially since it seems no body else on the planet has had this problem. SlapShot
You are putting the torx screw in the hole between where the two lines go in (facing firewall) right? IIRC there is a hole on the opposite side (facing drivers seat) which it should not go in. If you can contort yourself to take a peek, make sure its not cocked and the holes are lined up. SnapCracklePop
yes i'm putting it in between where the two lines go in. I've tried turning the lines this way and that way. and it will not grab the threads and go in there. I even tried putting the old O rings on thinking the new ones were too thick. Still nothing. SnapCracklePop
seriously starting to panic. I just can't figure this out. I've checked and double checked and triple checked that everything is lined up and it's just not going together. no matter how hard I push or pull those hoses in and try and screw in at the same time.
