NJGreenBudd
I think the shroud is a bit overkill, and that's the whole point of this "kit" is that it has a fancy cnc shroud. I got the clear lenses and projectors for less than $200 and have this as of the other day, not 100% final product but I think it looks okay and it does have much better light output. Edit, should have mentioned I'll be adding either ABM corners or modding the stock ones to match.

NJGreenBudd
lol. Do you guys think the CNC shroud or the projector itself makes them look bug eyed? That's kinda what I was trying to avoid in my retrofit. Open to any suggestions for mine, I haven't done the other side yet since I haven't decided to keep them the way they are. What would you like to see in a retrofit like this?

(n)A-GAME
Look at other OEM projector setups, xenon or halogen. What is making this look odd is how prominent the shroud/projector are in relation to the overall size and shape of the headlight. It just doesn't look right. Notice how on Paul's setup the roundness of the projector isn't all exaggerated and dominant- it looks more normal. With his, your eye isn't drawn to this big circular thing but rather the headlight as a whole. The integration of the shroud and projector into the shape of the headlight is much better. That's how it's supposed to be. It's not helping that you have what is essentially a hard vertical line splitting the two sides of the headlight in half calling even more visual attention to the projector side. I'm all for projector retros and improving light output - and the concept is a good one. The execution just isn't there. Big props to Ryan for trying to come up with something new - I'm sure that later iterations of this design will be improved.

matt b
Better but still not there IMHO. Part of it is the shrouds, I don't really like that style. But that's just me. I have some nicer shrouds if you want to try them, I bought them from Serge 2 years ago and never used them. I like my E-codes too much to change them. okoye
i think whats killing the look, is the fact the bulb looks almost black. i think trying a non tinted bulb would do the trick. it'd definitely give it a cleaner, smoother look. ^_^
