I think that if the shrouds filled the low beam opening a bit more, it would flow better with the rest of the headlight. Overall, they're pretty good already, they just needs a tweak or 2 for perfection.

Something like this poorly photoshopped version:

I think if everything was blacked out I'd be fine with it.

I like the shape, but I think blacked out would be perfect, if I didn't have abm's already I would black a set of these out

Performance > looks

This product performs superbly and although it may not look 100% PERFECT, lets keep in mind that this is a new product and there will be changes made to designs. Reid obviously likes them and I like them too for their effectiveness.

I'm sure Rye will tweak designs for future X70 and 850 retrofits

Then BMW, Acura, Lexus, Jaguar, Mercedes, Audi, Infiniti and Volvo bixenon projectors function just as well. Why don't you make the case for any of those, because you'd get performance and esthetics. Don't know about the rest, but I think that Mike's Mercedes E55 retrofit into my jewels looks really good, and the light output is GREAT.

I think there are two factors out of whack with Reid's...one is that the silver almost looks bright white against the black car....that makes the exophthalmos that much more evident..second is the aftermarket shroud takes away the depth of the bowl, while the bowl right next to it has it's full depth...that contrast is throwing it off...
