Dash Lighting Issues/upgrade Questions

Hey guys, not sure if you guys have some ideas or not but my 94 960 has some dash lighting issues. I dont remember where it started, but the variety of symptoms are these:

I had a dimming to dark and then back to full illumination in the stereo.........finally lost all light, and took the old one from my 850 and replaced it. Solved that for the time being. It was cool for a few months, like the car was haunted lol

Sometimes I would get in the car, and have no dash lights but the orange glowing circle around the a/c off button, all other dash lights totally off- signals would show when used, but nothing otherwise. After driving for a few minutes, or sometimes moving random switches, it would come back on instantly.

Lastly, the lights at random times of cold mornings would act as a tube TV.........Off at first then after 2 or 3 minutes, they would gradually rise in brightness to fully on.

None of the stuff is killing me, but if I ever have to let anyone use my car, it would take a month to explain this quirk, that quirk, etc etc.

As I was reading the LED posts in the other section, I was wondering if that would be an option for me to upgrade to.

I was not sure if the bulb mounts would work or how much would have to be changed. I am going to try to read some more on the LEDs

Also, were all the 94+ 960s equipped with Keyless entry? Mine never had any the remotes when I bought it, and now this car is my DD so I would like to get that going but I am not sure if its equipped for it. I think at the very least I may need the locking relay to get all the doors and trunk to function together. As always, any input is greatly appreciated!

I had a similar problem and its the same solution: replace your dash light dimmer switch

Keyless entry....No. My car has OEM keyless entry. I've heard of people getting OEM units and adding on keyless entry/alarm systems. Adam (Oreo) did that I'm pretty sure.
