Burn-E
Think Obama will have it unless RP can pull off a miracle. Be interesting to see who Romney chooses as his running mate... I think this race is far closer than most realize. The economy has not improved sufficiently to satisfy the 99% - nor will it before November and my guess is it will deteriorate in the next 6 months - and Obama has not delivered on many of his promises. By declaring himself pro gay marriage he essentially mobilized and solidified the conservative base in their support for Romney. Now it becomes a race to the middle and both candidates have issues that could catapult them to the top or push them to the bottom depending on how they are handled. They're both elitists and neither one of them really connects with the average voter. The 18-25 vote will not be as energized for Obama this time around simply because many of them see his Hope message for what it was, a branding message that could never possibly deliver on the vaporous hype they believe he represented. Had he steered clear of healthcare, had he done a better job of holding the banksters accountable, had he focused on economic progress rather than abdicating that responsibility he would be in a much better position today. Me, I voted for Obama in 08 and I voted for Romney in the Illinois primary. I'm undecided who I will vote for in November but I know where I'm leaning. I'm not convinced either of them will resolve the financial challenges that continue to plague this country but I think one of them has a much better idea of how to do it at least.

I don't think either of them can as long as congress can't cooperate on ANYTHING.
S8ET6
Willard? I didn't know Mitt's birthname was Willard. I guess the shows how closely I've been following the RNC primaries.
Burn-E
He's named after J. WIllard Marriott - yes the Hotel magnate Marriott. His father George was best friends with Willard. Both last names are well known within the Mormon faith and the families have a deep history within the Church.
Kevin.
Personally, I don't support Obama, but I'm seeing this race coming down to the wire with Obama having a slightly higher chance of keeping his position. Guess we'll find out soon enough
flyfishing3
IMO the problem is the masses that don't follow politics, law etc. the lemmings are to sway-able by attack ads. i respect a persons decision on who they vote for, as long as its educated and not derived from a slanted source, i.e. RUSH, MSNBC, FOX, PATRIOT etc. i watch listen/watch to MSNBC generally 7-9 hrs a day, but i read a very conservative newspaper, listen to fox, CNN NPR during commercials. I"ve only voted for one DEM(obama).

Burn-E
i've never hidden who i voted for. i must confess i was wrong about McCain dyeing in office though and thats why i couldn't vote for PALIN THIS ^^^ is one of the leading reasons why I voted for Obama. Lesser of two evils as far as I was concerned. McCain's selection of Palin as his Veep spoke volumes on his capacity to lead with a sound mind. I too had never voted for a Democratic president before Obama. I've voted for plenty of Democrats at the local level though that is fairly typical given that Illinois is among the bluest of blue states. President is a far more stressful job than senator, so he may not have made it this far as president. I felt the same way, and there was no f'ing way I wanted Palin as President. 1
