lookforjoe
Picked this up from the original owner, $400. The only thing really wrong with it was the flex inlet hose - it was crumbled & causing stalling on decel. Gave it a little TLC Bumper trim heat treatment not finished here... Dick Dastardly
cool find and nice price. Will this just be a daily driver or will we be seeing some "legal pad plans" in the future?
lookforjoe
cool find and nice price. Will this just be a daily driver or will we be seeing some "legal pad plans" in the future? Nah, the Mrs. won't let me have more than two of my own cars - since I want to stay married, this one is just passing through. A neighbor needs a car for her son, so I'm passing in on for $950. Just have to do the t/belt to be safe - it has 175K & no record of the last replacement (50K interval on these)
drin850
Beauty! reminds me of my first Volvo. Which was also the most reliable one I owned.
RBoy8
I've always had a soft spot for the older 850 body styling. :3 Nice find!

Joolez
It's funny because I'm from Germany and don't like e-codes! I actually love the US Style. But very good pick up.

lookforjoe
Pulled the console, removed the shift inhibitor microswitch, changed the prndl & cig lighter bulbs. Changed the blower motor, pulled the cluster to replace the broken odometer gear, only to find the replacement gear is the wrong size. Put some freon in the system, and found that the Evaporator is leaking. Never done one before - I'll have to look it up on AllData. Driver's seat does not recline - tried a new switch, it must be the cables. Not familiar with these.
