so you guys would hire her?

i'm sure this guy would create a lot of leeds for me.

keep telling yourselves that ink doesn't hold you back.

OK, I'll bite.

Mike: it's leads and not leeds. One gets you business, the other is a city in England.

Here's a less extreme example:

I'd hire her:

I would not hire her:

And to dumb it down for you: think of it as paint on a car. I like a car with nice paint (or a person with tattoos) but I don't like a car with paint on the windows, trim, tires and exhaust (neck and hand tattoos).

we entertain out customers on a yacht we keep in Mexico(going in April, can't wait)

i really couldn't fish for marlin with Long Sleeve shirt on. i guess i could, but it would be weird.

same with legs, if i'm golfing and have a big DEER SKULL on my calf, i'll get laughed at.

I think you probably deserve to be laughed at in any situation with a big deer skull somewhere.

Gee, Mike, like me you're pale enough to demand wearing a long-sleeved shirt fishing for marlin.... like some "Ex Officio" or something.

(Yacht in Mexico. Damnit, man.) <_< I hear you can get a nice tat down there...

Did you ever stop to think Mike, that chicks with face tattoos maybe don't WANT a corporate middle management job where she'd go golfing with some middle aged dudes?

You act like there's this line of people with facial and hand tats applying for jobs with you.

Most people who look like that work in tattoo shops (where many of them make more than you realize) others at artists, graphic artists, musicians, etc.

It's funny how you can't post enough vids of Mike Ness and Tim Armstrong yet you whine about lots of tats.

They should make social distortion were long sleeve shirts when they perform live..

... You know, so they look more professional.

i'm not anti tats at all. I may turn up the rhetoric for funs sake( like the gun threads) , i hate to see a decision pigeon hole somebody's future. Where in, i then have to support their ass on some sort of handout. My concern is that a decision at 18, can hurt your career choices when you're 40 . I could care less what a person does with themselves. The origins of my position were in the work place. Tats have nothing to do with economic position in the least.

i love creative, free thinking people. i'm and you are old enough to know a decision we make at an early age may come back to bite us in the ass.

posts glorifying tats need a rebuttal for those who might not be thinking 20 years down the road, don't you think?

Mike's problem is that he fails to recognize that there are entire professional spheres outside his conservative world where tats are entirely acceptable. Software coding, media production, high tech, design, to name a few. Sales will always have a conservative view unless your target clientele all live the bohemian life.

not totally accurate. In my world of flooring i deal with lots of business owners/principles etc. But my products are sold to installers. they come in all shapes and sizes. many heavily tattoo'd and stretched out ears.

My wife has met some installer friends of mine who are the nicest people in the world. My wife has said she would not let them in the house without me present. (edit, not knowing the person first)

so their decision to express themselves is possibly hurting their income.
