It will no longer start. So here's what happened: I was driving on the interstate on Oct. 31 at 5:45 in the morning on my way to work, and the car just dies on me. It did NOT jump time, nor did it stutter, sputter, or burn out. It literally just died. I didn't even notice it was dead until I went to give it gas and notice the rpm gauge was at 0. I put it in Neutral and tried to start it, but it wouldn't start. Towed it home. Did a few diagnostics. Check engine light code 55. Which means there are no problems with which the computer controls. Which means it will still pass emissions; it's still getting compression, and the fuel pump is still strong. I had a mechanic swing by and take a look, he says the only two things it could be are the oil pump or the alternator. Which are notorious in Z's. and then the seller states this: 1990 Nissan 300zx Manual transmission. 201xxx on the body, 75k on the motor. Drives like a beauty. Exterior-8.5/10 Interior 7/10 Mechanically-10/10 Tires are brand new Falken accelerator all the way around, with 350 miles on them. I know plenty of car genres have been accused of being copy-cats and uncreative, but I swear the "show car" is the worst. It's just a money game. Throw as much money as possible. Work hard, get more money, NOW figure out what to do to the car. But only do things in small increments, so that you never actually do anything cool. Just the most labor-intensive cosmetic changes.
