mdlimy
on a pre me7 rail? one is a jic fitting i believe not sure the size and the return is the fpr which is just an oring in a hole...just take the fuel lines and rail to a hydrolic shop and tell them you want a braided line with those fittings, thats the easy way.... Tightmopedman9
Word, that does sound like an easy solution. Unfortunately, I don't think there are any hydraulic shops in my small town, at least there aren't any listed.
mdlimy
Well in that case you can just buy the stuff online and do it yourself. ErikF might know what works, he has an aeromotive fpr and braided lines on his 850, shoot him a pm. As for the return, it would be as easy as cutting the rubber hose coming off the fpr and shoving a barb in it and adapting into a AN/JIC fitting and then you can run braided lines with an fittings. as long as you use a proper barb and clamp you will be fine but of course its not really ideal. But if you want to retain the stock location fpr its your only option, other than welding a fitting to the fpr. The fuel supply line should be easy once you can figure out what size the fitting is. NM Evan
If you find somebody here in ABQ, I can do the dirty work of running around for ya and mail it to you when it's done.

Thanks, but I don't think it'll be necessary, I just need to know the size of the line and I can just use some AN fittings and make my own line. Tightmopedman9
Just took my manifold to get milled and tapped for M10x1.5 studs. $110!! I feel like thats really high, but there's literally no other machinist in town. Is the dipstick the same for the RN as it is for the P80? They have different part numbers so I'm not quite sure. lookforjoe
Dipstick will be different if intake manifold or IC piping is different. Where's the pics of the 20g already????? :-)
Tightmopedman9
Geessshhh.... Here they are: The turbine wheel looks completely unused! The PO was nice enough to weld on a boss for the wastegate just where I needed it It came with a adjustable wastegate with 15 psi spring. I just bought a 7.34 psi (.5 bar) spring from kinugawa turbo; I'm hoping it'll work.
lookforjoe
Not sure that's an HRC 20g though - the exhaust housing looks to be too small - this is the standard 10cm2 HRC. I don't see these casting #'s on what you have... the problem you may have is that it will spool very early & then choke, I found even the 10cm2 housing restrictive (and it spooled pretty early, around 3K) clocking for WGA I have a brand new 10PSI HRC WGA that I never used. Tightmopedman9
It looks like the exhaust is the same size as yours... The casting numbers are: 6 1L DUCM 79-1 100 As for choking at higher RPMs, my car feels fast now; with how much bigger this turbo is I think I'll be plenty satisfied. lookforjoe
I'm sure you will, but it's still not the 10cm2 housing. Look at the cross section of the exhaust 'snail" -yours is essentially round, the larger is more 'square'. It just means the turbo may not be as represented, that's all. Make sure to clock the CHRA oil feed as close to straight up (when installed) for proper drainage.
