Actually, they blocked their automatic pay raises in 2010 and 2011. Then they have to have the same healthcare as the public (Senate voted no on this one). Also they only get paid for when they are at the office or on official business (that is the tough part). There should be a campaign spending cap and a limited time to run. Currently they don't represent the voters, they represent the top doners to their campaign.
