Gideon35T
Agreed. Forgive my simple english for the sake of internet threadery ... The TRUTH is that the 2nd Amendment was formulated for the people to defend themselves from a tyranical government. Immutable, no? Here's a quick giggle I made as I need to head home and don't really bother with this forum stuff unless it's during the day and during the week. Commander Riker
And before Alain posts and article... I'm sad to report there was yet another shooting at a school today. This time, in a classroom. One student injured two others with a 12 gauge shotgun. Luckily no one died... but another weird part of our society I'd like to point out... and maybe of people in general... is copy cats.
Che'_Moderator
There is probably a school shooting a day. I would frankly be surprised if there was not. So I am filing that trivia away between chickens are white and frogs and I farted and the dog barked.
Commander Riker
It's more the mentality that I was posting. Even in these tragedies.. people seem to want to copy cat them. The internet is odd too... as it's created fandom of the mass shooters. Humans are weird... maybe that's our overall problem here.
Burn-E
Or stated in a more Hobbesian fashion, left to our own unregulated devices, the societal experience is one of "continual fear, and danger of violent death; and the life of man, solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short."One could say this is the nature of man and worldview the NRA is protecting against. ;)
Che'_Moderator
All I have to say, is you better all hope they do not decide to round up firearms. It will mean either a civil war or that your taxes are going WAY up.

Che'_Moderator
And thus will be the downfall of "America" as we know it. I doubt that, but should it be the case, at least I am on the right team.
550
The problem is, things *Will* change. Not sure how, but if they round up all the guns, things will get pretty bad.

They say that every 2-3 years. Truth is that nothing has really changed since 1994, before that 86.
Commander Riker
I do hate that they play on the fears of law abiding, gun owning, good people with the rhetoric of threats in regards to taking away people's right to bear arms. This debate... that of gun control and restrictions etc... I think is almost engineered. It has the same feel of the elections not too long ago, and feels like it plays on those vibes of "left vs right" bullshiz. Lately I've been thinking it will be made as an argument that is given up if another concession by the people is made. For example... putting TSA everywhere. And the people, will want it. :-/

Che'_Moderator
ftfy Ok everyone. We are going to have a civil war! One team gets all the weapons. The other gets Mike, felons, everyone under 18, anyone with mental health issues, and veterans with dishonorable discharges..... I think I am good where I am.
