Commander Riker
Alain... I read that article and it's interesting. I think there are people who like seeing gun violence because it supports their "agenda" From that article : "Which is what got me thinking in the first place about what would have happened if the Tsarnaevs had been shooters rather than bombers. Maybe I am wrong about how things would have played out. But the country, or large parts of it, would finally have been forced to confront its cognitive dissonance about gun violence and terrorism, which, at the very least, would have been educational." It's almost as though they want to see more gun use so they have a reason to say "see, I told you we shouldn't have guns!!"
Burn-E
Meh... muslims are overrated. The Nielsen ratings say they sell TV viewership and mobilization of the forces. And yes Lucas, I agree, there's a perverse logic being postulated there. But that's just driven by the reality that the political cycle follows: gun tragedy outrage crying parents political pressure attempted political action +/- results wash rinse repeat
550
Just to add fuel to the fire, the New Yorker had an interesting take on how might we have reacted differently IF the Tsarnaev brothers had used "assault weapons" instead of pressure cooker bombs. Maybe your problem is Mike that we haven't had enough Muslims pulling out AR-15s and shooting up large groups of people yet...in the US. Maybe that would get the change you're looking for. They were amatuers, thankgod. If they knew what they were doing, with bombs, they could have made a larger impact. If they had guns, I wonder if some of the LEO presence would have shot them before things got too out of hand.

Che'_Moderator
Feeding the fire a little. Three things I thought I would never own. A 9mm pistol, a striker fire, and a Taurus. Prejudice aside, I am pretty impressed. Would any of you be interested in other little firearm overviews such as this one?

Better than my FN which holds 31. I did not mention it cause I think its dumb, but it has a built in lock on the side. Funny you dislike military weapons. This was made to submit to the US military as a new SOCOM pistol.

Oh wait.. you probably want law to limit the blade to 10" That's a good point. That samuri sword is certainly not used for hunting, it's just a device people have to show off. And made to harm/kill. He shouldn't have it, could have used a kitchen knife or maybe a meat hammer. And that sword has unlimited ammo.
