Fudge_Brownie
is that where dave does work?I don't know. I'm pretty sure he does work in the city, but that's all I know.Btw, I'm having trouble finding the AR mentioned in any quality sources. Best I could find was NBC saying that he might have. Which is useless. I think it's still too early to know.

As an employee you aren't allowed to carry on to the base.

As an employee you aren't allowed to carry on to the base. If I remember the guards do and so do the officers on base (not military officers but police officers). I dont think you are allowed to carry on a govn't base. I think any base that I have been on they dont search your car if you have a CAC and stickers on your car. For visitors... I have never had my car searched when going on bases. I have seen cars get searched though.
Burn-E
Yet another mentally ill person lashes out it seems is the story that is unfolding here. Cue up Mike asking how or why we're handing guns over to the mentally ill and reaping the effects. http://www.nytimes.com/2013/09/18/us/washington-navy-yard-shootings.html?partner=rss&emc=rss
flyfishing3
Too Busy traveling to compose a well written composition on why we need FULL background checks WE DO. Fudge_Brownie
Lots of ex-military end up working for these kinds of places. So you already have some formal training and experience via bootcamp.IMO, a good process failed. He was allowed on base, despite a military history involving issues. Never should have passed.I think crazies shouldn't be allowed to own guns, but I don't know how that works out in the real world. Who and what develops the criteria, and what is considered a diagnosis. I think you'll end up with people who are barely crazy basically voluntarily surrendering their arms, while the real paranoid crazies know enough to keep their mouth shut to keep their permits. Burn-E
An interesting take on the issue of gun proliferation in the US. http://www.nytimes.com/2013/09/19/opinion/blow-a-ghastly-ritual-repeats-itself.html?pagewanted=all What does piss me off is that the Congress refuses to allow for studies of gun use and its impact on injury / death. Read correctly it's clear that the NIH could do studies but the question is always whether they'll become politicized. And that's the issue - there needs to be much, much more research done to examine the scientific questions in order to inform the best approach and there needs to be an unbiased researcher. And then there's this... http://m.nationalreview.com/corner/358701/flashback-biden-buy-shotgun-andrew-johnson Biden told people to buy shotguns as they were safer weapons to protect the family... caanglin
Biden told people to buy shotguns as they were safer weapons to protect the family... I feel for the people who took that advice seriously. Just imagine a small woman trying to shoot a double barrel shotgun vs shooting an AR.
