Stefan Mohammed
Guys it's been a very long time since I shared an update so here it is... I am putting the S80 project on pause for a short period of time. I recently purchased a 854 T-5R to use as my daily driver and the car needs a bit of TLC to get it to the point where I'm happy with it. In the last few months I've been exposed to higher HP cars and driving my ~280 WHP 850; I'm already bored of the power output of the 850, I want significantly more power. This is where the S80 comes into play, it has so much potential yet the engine is stock, the gearbox is non-lsd, the car is FWD and it still has a TD04 turbo; it needs so much more in my eyes to really make it a one of a kind, ultimate sleeper. That's why I've decided to pull the engine, gearbox and turbo from the S80 and swap it into the 850. The 850 was in need of a new motor anyway and swapping the S80s engine gives me the opportunity to start over on a clean slate for a much more ambitious build. I've sold the Haltech and a few other components since I'll be upgrading them as well. I probably would start a new thread for the revised build since it's so different than this one. I need to tease you guys though, so expect this much (at least) from the S80: Haltech Elite 2500 ECU + Mil-spec Harness (built in traction control!!!) RN 2.3 (Enem Y21s, Forged Rods, Weisco Pistons, Inconel Exhaust Valves, Port + Polish, etc.) M66C, XC70 Viscous Coupling, S60R Rear Diff + Angle Gear, S80 AWD Rear Subframe + Axles + Driveshaft Garret GTX3076 .78 A/R Turbo, Custom Tubular Exhaust Manifold, Custom Intake Manifold, Revised Exhaust PDI Roll Center Correction, Kaplhenke Camber/Caster Plates, etc. Should take me to 500WHP+ on pump gas & meth (comfortably) I should start back work on the S80 come February/March 2015... by then I should have the Elite 2500 in my hand and materials to start work on the Mil-Spec Harness. The S80 has gone through a tonne of transitions over the years...so much for a T5 engine swap + M56L & standalone... say hello to the 500+ AWHP S80 T-5M build :D P.S. to everyone who ever said that I'd prefer a P80 over my S80 if I got my hands on one... you were wrong
