Turbowagon245 Posted January 25, 2013 Report Share Posted January 25, 2013 Hey all, I live in the Denver area, and am looking to paint my '82 245 sometime in the near future. There's very little rust on the car--there's a spot underneath the windshield, and a few under both windows in the trunk section, but nothing uncommon for this car. I'm planning on having the windshield removed, as well as the two side windows in the trunk area. I'm also going to be stripping her down myself as much as I can (i.e. moldings, headlights, bumpers, tailgate, etc.). I don't, however, plan on doing any bodywork or sanding on my own. The car is white, so no fancy metallic paint or anything, but I would like a decent job fairly close to the factory specs. For those who have done this sort of thing before, any idea on how much it would cost? Any recommendations for shops in the area, or tips on how to go about this properly?
