I got in an argument this am at Toyota dealership

They said I had a slight vibration when braking( slight I say).

Pads 50 miles, tires 12 miles. Enough rotor left.

If I feel I'm safe and not a threat to the public don't I have the right to drive awa? I have home owners ins, etc

I had them produce the written rules and argued up and down the vagueness of the rule is nothing but a money maker for the dealership

How does this have ANYTHING to do with the NSA?

Unless you think they thought you were a potential terrorist trying to get away in his car.

And yes, no dealer is going to tell me what I can and cannot do with my car. It belongs to me not them...oh wait, just like the my telephone records. They belong to the telephone service provider and me. ;)

I know you do not actually believe that. Not saying it should not be that way, just telling the others its not that way and it never will be. Even carnivore was only voluntarily pulled and then put right back up.

Does it matter if I believe it? Theoretically I do, but I'm assuming it is not always followed. Nor is there really any enforcement of gov contracts when the gov is the one who is supposed to raise issue. But does it matter? You hate people more than I do for their own complacency yet your overall point is to continue being complacent.

rules and regulations.

i didn't ask to be regulated.

i do not have a choice but to comply.

i didn't vote for anybody to tell me what i can and can't do to my car and drive on roads i've paid for.

Politics notwithstanding, don't you think that human nature is the driver in all of these endeavors? Obama, Elizabeth, Alexander, Qin Shi Huang, Ramses are all players in the same game that's been rolling for our whole history. The rules? Acquire power through ambition, intellect, action, and resources. Keep it as long as you can. Exploiting/manipulating the masses? Of course. Developing rationales to substantiate the behavior? Yup. Remember Manifest Destiny? (Imperialist democrats  ) Talk about hypocrisy, that shit is still alive today in a different form, except that the "western expansion" is the digital/technology realm, and there are lots of interests fighting for that landscape. We're faking ourselves out to think that democracy can counterbalance greed and the "need" to control things, but we have to try. The question is, how trusting or exposed do you want to be with any of those we have elected knowing that they are going to get caught up in the power game? How active do you want to be within those powers? But what I get back to is that these growing pains are symptoms of our humanity. We have not tamed the beast. Twenty years from now we'll be dealing with something else seemingly new and horrific, in a myopic fashion, trying to (still) civilize our savage ways. After all, there's only so much planet to go around, right? You got yours? And history might suggest that as the populace grows, our civil liberties shrink. That's why less government is more when it comes to personal freedoms, but in a lot of cases we've illustrated that we can't handle it. An old conumdrum lives on...

How many govt employees do we have reading every email?

There would be 0 unemployment.

How many employees are listening to you talk on phone?

Newt would have us using children to listen

You think people who work for the government can read? lol

In all honesty though that shit is all done by the billion dollar computer systems they have in place to scan for key words/phrases. I imagine if your on a watch list someone will actually take time to read or listen to some of your correspondences. So if your on a watch list there is a chance that some guy named Bob knows all about your herpes and mistresses.

The Snowden story keeps growing longer legs. My guess is this poor girl is either going to go into hiding or else make a mint off of her exposure thanks to her boyfriend.

Edward Snowden's Pole Dancing girlfriend:

There's a video on Youtube that I'll link here but let me simply say, no nudity but it's pretty NWS:

And for the record, I think he's officially gone overboard with the attempt - as it appears - to cater to the country he's attempting to encourage to allow him to stay by stating that he has evidence that the United States has hacked into China's networks. Everyone knows this is happening, but to provide assistance to China - well he's gone beyond sympathetic character to a simple traitor at this point.

I still think upending the apple cart on NSA spying on American citizens was fair game though.

While it's obviously a stripper-like dance on a stripper pole, it looks like its taking place in something like a theatre club. Her first profession listed in the article is acrobat. Possible she just does a dance routine for friends?

Yeah... that guy claims the US has been hacking China!! Oh wait... that was, and has been going on.

I believe he claims the government is tapping into what everyone is doing without warrants!! Oh wait again... yup... been doing that too.

My .02 is that he's simply nothing more then a well placed distraction. Our media feeds off shit like this... and it doesn't surprise me, because they are practically state run at this point.
