lcc014
This no start situation has been existing for a while. No all the times, mainly happened after a long drive and stopped for a short time, about 15 minutes. Battery is in good condition - 12V measured at terminals when car is off. All I heard was a "click" sound, when turned key to II position. After that, car was quiet, starter not turning at all. All comment or diagnostic is appreciated. BlackBrick
pretty common for ignition switch to go, happened to me. Next time it doesn't start, jiggle the key in the ignition switch and if that helps, ignition switch is your culprit. Pretty cheap and easy fix. Keaton85
You say 12v at the battery? That means nothing as 12v is a dead battery. What is that actual voltage at the battery?
bob850
Mine did this exactly when the pnp was going out. I had no reverse lights also which pointed to the pnp.

Battery voltage with engine off - 12.6V. Mine did this exactly when the pnp was going out. I had no reverse lights also which pointed to the pnp. Same thing used to happen to mine when the pnp switch was giving me grief. So far, car starts fine. I will try the ratchet method on the shifter. Backup light is working fine so far. pretty common for ignition switch to go, happened to me.
