Max Meade
So I was doing the weekly wash and wax of my car (Volvo S70 GLT SE) and towards the end when I had the car on, just idling, I noticed a clicking sound under the hood. Of course the first thing I did was pop the hood and take a look. from what I could tell, the noise was coming from the mid to top left on the engine bay, maybe somewhere by the timing belt (which was recently replaced about 10k miles ago)... Is this clicking noise normal or is it something I need to take a closer look at or get checked out... Any ideas of what it could be? Thanks in advance, Max
survolvo
Could be your accessory tensioner or ac compressor or lifters or injectors... Could be many things really. Best way to tell is get mechanics stethoscope or a metal stick of sorts and start moving it around touching various places and try to narrow it down. Be careful of moving belts.
