Simply Volvo
Nice work! Just watch your EGT's (or monitor EBP) - that compressor will likely outflow the hot side if you run too much boost/high rpm. As long as you're monitoring the situation & stay alert for the crossover point where the back pressure exceeds any positive gains from the larger compressor you won't be melting any pistons... Yeah ill have to invest in a EGT guage. Still waiting on my wideband, which should be coming today or tomorrow. I have the 7cm^2 housing as well on there so this is maximum flow td04! There are a few guys running the billet and 9 blade at 25 psi (to redline), even one guy in europe running 30 psi I am quite curious to see how this combination works out. Im hoping to make it to Carlisle this year, going to be booking the hotel soon, etc.

sjmcarz
Got the turbo done tonight! Snap rings suck so much! Took me a good hr+ of me and my dad trying every different way to get the damn snap ring on for the compressor cover. We finally got it! When I rebuilt floggingmikes 19T, I picked up a large ratcheting snap ring pliers, worked well, but yes, it can sometimes be a PITA !
Simply Volvo
When I rebuilt floggingmikes 19T, I picked up a large ratcheting snap ring pliers, worked well, but yes, it can sometimes be a PITA ! Yes i used large ratcheting snap ring pliers too. Oh well, maybe I was just doing it wrong. More progress today. Installed Japan Mani (who I bought off flogginmike, so thanks mike and sjmcarz) Installed some new gaskets Installed new silicone radiator hoses Installed new Turbo Silicone Radiator hoses Starting making my custom Aluminum Intake pipe Other Misc stuff Hopefully I can be all done and bolted back together tomorrow. Well see. My buddy has a machine shop so he said I could use it tomorrow to port out the turbo exhaust housing for even more flow. Pictures to come. Simply Volvo
Made an Aluminum intake today. This is based off Hussein's old design. Might need to try to find some sort of sealant to keep the rubber grommet in...
lookforjoe
Shouldn't need sealant if the PTC is a tight fit - there is only vacuum in that pipe after all.
Simply Volvo
The only thing I'm worried about is it being pushed into the pipe. I'll just have to be careful when I put on the connections.
