revolvolution09
Well almost a bad day for me today. My mechanical belt tensioner went out. I took timing belt cover off and there it was in pieces. The engine is still ok. My local auto parts store got one for $75 and its made my gates. Is it a good brand? cn90
This is an important part. Stick to OEM. In fact, I buy Volvo parts from a dealer in Kansas City, very good prices/services. http://www.thevpstore.com
Keaton85
Almost all of them have INA bearings, so not really an issue. If it had some strange off brand bearing then I would worry but it's not hard to just open the box and look. I get all my TB rollers from dayco which are INA, and identical to Volvos $blue$ box. revolvolution09
Now i got this. TB cover is missing timing marks part. Will the center or cover be a good timing mark for E cam and I cam? Both marks should meet in center of cover right?
revolvolution09
Got the timing as close as i could and it runs fine but got slight ticking sound now.
Keaton85
Close as you could? That is not a statement that goes with timing belt...
