Sanders hung out in the hall hoping to meet with the Pope. This was not an arranged visit. So the Pope, as Francis is, was gracious enough to take a moment to say hello to Bernie. That is a vastly different story than being invited to meet with the Pope and sit down and have a substantial conversation. Second, when we say the Vatican invited someone to visit, usually that means it was at the behest of the Pope. In this case, Sanders was invited by a functionary within the Vatican organization who was persuaded by a political consultant. The tea leaves on all of it says that "the important people" at the Vatican when they found out about it felt it was an inappropriate invitation but they allowed it to proceed because doing otherwise would have caused greater "news" than just allowing Bernie to come. Bottom line, Bernie's making hay out of something. It's like Sarah Palin saying she knows Russia because she can see it from her back door. And frankly, I don't give a shit because none of it is going to help Saint Bernie improve his chances of winning the nomination. He's dead in the water. Everyone knows it. But he's persistent so we'll have to listen to him and the so called "is it possible?!" stories for the next 6 weeks until California votes and everyone can smile and say they knew Hillary was going to be the candidate all along. That's the way these news arcs work.

That's like one of my daughters' friends calling up and inviting themselves over to our house to play. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/04/10/vatican-pope-didn-t-invite-bernie-sanders.html "Sánchez Sorondo later toned down his initial comments telling CNN the invitation should not be seen as an endorsement of the senator’s nomination. “It does not signify any support of the campaign," Sánchez Sorondo said. "We want to establish a dialogue between North America and South America so we thought to invite a [U.S.] politician. The president of Bolivia will also be there. Perhaps the others [candidates] would have been interested but they did not request to come."He also confirmed to CNN that Sanders had reached out to the Vatican first. “He has expressed an interest many times in the Pope's encyclical and it's clear that he has an interest in studying it,” Sánchez Sorondo said. “It might have that effect, but we are not looking to support the campaign." Fudge_Brownie
So bernie invited himself over for dinner, then pretended like they were friends? There's a cliche socialism joke in there somewhere. The kicker is our resident bernie bro fell for the stunt so I guess mission accomplished. It's like when a juror hears something during trial, but is then instructed by the judge to disregard it. Even if they genuinely want to forget about what they heard, it's fairly difficult to not let it have any impact at all. Kevin, what's your plan when he loses the nomination? Stay home? Third party? Anti-trump clinton vote?

LOl no shit Cattle-Futures Miracle - Hillary’s first commodity trade was in cattle futures where she ordered 10 futures contracts which normally cost $12,000 dollars with only $1,000 dollars in her account. This turned into $6,300 dollars by the next morning and after 10 months totaled $100,000, with trading help from James B. Blair. Travelgate Scandal - Catherine Cornelius, a 25-year-old cousin of Bill's was allegedly promised the position of director of the travel office. Hillary Clinton then (indirectly) fired seven employees from the United States travel office and replaced them with associates from Arkansas. Records were either nowhere to be found or incorrectly filed. And, there's a reported attempt to give a White House airline contract to friend. Hillary had the FBI investigate Billy Dale, the head of the travel office, ruining his career who was found to do nothing wrong, but was then audited by the IRS for three years after. Whitewater Scandal - Hillary and her husband were partners in a shady real estate development firm called Whitewater Development Corp in Arkansas. Accusations of impropriety against the Clintons and others soon surfaced, regarding improper campaign contributions, political and financial favors, and tax benefits. Clinton’s friends and majority owners, James and Susan McDougal were jailed for fraud, Clinton's successor, Governor Jim Tucker, was jailed for fraud along with municipal judges David Hale and Eugene Fitzhugh who worked with James McDougal. The Clintons walked away unscathed, having apparently done nothing wrong. Filegate Scandal - Craig Livingstone, director of the White House's Office of Personnel Security "improperly" accessed FBI files on several hundred individuals. Mrs. Clinton called it a, "completely honest bureaucratic snafu." Many of these files were on people from previous Republican administrations. Hillary Clinton hired Livingston and is alleged to have looked at the files and requested this move. She was accused by Republicans of violating privacy rights of individuals she viewed as political adversaries. Check the trail of dead bodies from Arkansas to DC. DONT BE LAZY DO IT> too funny...Vince Foster committed suicide. The bullet entry wound was in the BACK of his head... Now Ill be called a tinfoil head. its too easy to attack rather than research and read. The MSM is complicit as well.
Fudge_Brownie
Did you guys read the article? Or better yet, the cited reference they used? No one claimed she hasn't lied. In fact the cited reference has her down for 3 'Pants on fire' level lies. The article also says "All this is self-inflicted damage, which Clinton compounded with evasions and half-truths, coming across as lawyerly and shifty. A more gifted politician might have gotten away with it, but Clinton is not a natural politician. Her warmth can turn to remoteness on the television screen, her caution to slipperiness." 16 minutes ago, Pops Racer said: its too easy to attack rather than research and read. At least have to give you credit for coming up with rebutting examples of her dishonesty. 1
