flyfishing3
i was talking with my BIL over the weekend. He's a big tea party guy. He infact moved his whole family to fla just to avoid taxes. His business is in ohio and travels back and forth constantly, but hey, he is saving on taxes lol. i asked him who he's into, he said he isn't even engaged yet. He's waiting until DEC to get serious. Burn-E
Exactly. No one is paying attention right now except for the candidates who are scared they aren't big enough names to make it onto the first staged debate. That's why we're hearing so much from Carly Fiorina and Rick Santorum all of a sudden. If there's one candidate I simply can't stand, it really is Rick Santorum. I mean Huckabee is a wannabe politician who just throws his hat in each round to keep himself relevant for his Fox News gig but Santorum just oozes self-righteous smarminess. I'm sure as a fellow Catholic you must just love him, Mike.It must be Pennsylvania - I can't recall a single PA politician I really liked. I mean, you guys gave us Newt Gingrich, Tom Ridge, Robert Reich, Joe Biden. I don't like any of those guys. Edited July 27, 2015 by Burn-E
flyfishing3
Santorum is far from a Pennsylvanian. even when he represented PA, he didn't live here.he's been in VA for so long, i can't even recall the number. He has a PO BOX and has some family living in his old house in PENN HILLS. He wouldn't be caught dead in Penn Hills now. Its turned into a real shit hole. Burn-E
Hey man, he's your mess, you guys elected him and gave him the power. I accept full blame for Chicago creating Barack, the least you can do is accept what is yours.
theForgottenone
Of Bernie 12 agenda, I personally don't like #4. Union is not what i was made to do back when it was first started. In honesty, union is a front for the organized crime when it was formed. Abby's hot, she's just not crazy hot like Sarah Palin which apparently is what really lights Mike's fire. You can catch Abby on MSNBC though - she has her own program now.

ErikS
What is the number one campaign topic now? Race and income equality in the U.S.? The global interconnected economy? ISIS getting my health care?Trying to put myself in a candidates shoes, really hard to narrow down a platform. Oh, and Wall Street. I lived at 37 Wall for a week at the beginning of July. You know what you DONT see on Wall Street? People who work on Wall Street.
Burn-E
Erik, serious answer: Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders are the number one campaign topics if you're one of the serious contenders depending on which party you're inIf you want to get down to substance and away from the media circus then my guess is:General vote:1. The economy2. Job security3. Healthcare policyHispanic vote: immigrationBlack vote: racial justiceLGBT vote: gaining universal rights not to be discriminated against in all States
ErikS
Why? Because they are far right and far left? Jeb and Hilary, those will be our choices. Not that hard to figure out, all the rest is bullshit entertainment.
caanglin
Why? Because they are far right and far left?Bernie in the USA. Extreme socialist. Rest of the world. He's a moderate.
Burn-E
Because they are the noisiest. Though I think Sanders really can cause problems for Hillary. Her unfavorables are rising and even though we're early in the process and I suspect her campaign's goal is to shake out all the dirt now, Sanders can force her to move farther to the Left than she prefers. That will cause issues in the General Election. Jeb isn't seeing a ringing endorsement yet and is too moderate for many conservative republicans, the kind of people who vote in the primaries.I don't think either of them is a lock yet. They're the clear front runners in the money game but that doesn't guarantee where they land in June when someone locks up the nomination.Bernie in the USA.If only he could get Bruce Springsteen to endorse him Edited July 27, 2015 by Burn-E

Burn-E
Last night's debate was a five ring circus but still somewhat illuminating. I put little stock in a debate this early in the season but it does drive media exposure and public engagement.Bush was unimpressive. Rubio, Kasich, and Fiorina all shined. I doubt it will do her any good in the immediate future as Fiorina will likely still be excluded from the upcoming CNN debate. And if anyone paid attention to how she performed in her campaign against Barbara Boxer, they would see that Carly won't get far in this election either.Trump is a tool who likes to hear himself speak but he enjoys being the iconoclast who can say what everyone else is unwilling to say. Somewhat like the court jester. No one is going to drop out as a result of this debate, except maybe Rick Perry and Bobby Jindal. Every time I see their names in the write-ups of the JV debate I couldn't help but think of this guy:Edit: I hate this update as it's impossible to load photos without manually typing the tags. The insert other media button is a pile of donkey bits.
Zappo
Has anyone even heard from Bobby after he announced? The little part of the "debate" I watched wasn't really a debate at all, just the host asking a question and the candidate responding with their general talking points; sometimes having nothing to do with the question asked.
