Comments: I've been very happy with Borton since I purchased a used 1995 854T in October of 1999 with 57K miles. I spent much time doing research before I purchased the car and was a little worried that the car was purchased at an auction. In doing a title search I found that the car was only registered by one other owner. When I purchased the car they did everything I specified in terms of service for free. I've had a few other things done under warranty (3rd party)..O2 sensors, headlight wiper motor. I've also had a small oil leak fixed and a few other things (tyranny flush). Borton's service department never has done any work before getting my approval. I use Borton for things covered under my warranty and an independent shop for general maintenance (e.g. 60K, 70K service). My car has had very few problems, which I think speaks well for Borton's used inventory (not that 1 car speaks for the whole lot).

Comments: Very very experience with the part department, overall cheapest price I could get via mail order dealer and very fiendly + knowledgeable part staff.

Comments: Definately one of the best dealerships I've dealt with period. Excellent prices (many times well below the Volvo standard prices) always have the parts I need in stock, also were very knowledgable with any questions I had about the parts or even from asking them about problems with my car. Would and always do recommend Borton.

Comments: Borton is the best dealership around, TEN times better then Kline Volvo. Service department is awsome. The technicians know everything there is to know about volvo cars Past and present. They are, to me, the only Volvo dealership in town.

Comments: I have had 4 "previously owned" volvos. 3 purchased from them. All serviced there. Cars purchased from them have been good, as was my other one. None of the major problems I see posted here at times. Service is generally good but have had a few problems. Overall I've been pleased with the treatment I've had there from the service department. They've worked with me on a couple of issues and it all came out well. One problem was with an S70 antiskid, took them 6 weeks to diagnose. They had the car for 4 of those. Other problem was not having parts on hand when I arrived. Appointment for the specific work was made 2 weeks in advance. But as I say, overall it's been good.

I think VolvoTD's comment about Kline is interesting. I've never been there. I normally wait at Borton for my work to be done. I was sitting there a month ago and overheard a discussion between 2 people about a 3rd volvo owner they knew. The jist was that the 3rd person now takes his car to Kline for service. Borton and Kline are on opposite ends of town, a good 25-30 miles apart. This guy lives 10 miles the other side of Borton. They must have peeved him in some way.

But as I say, it's been a generally good experience in both sales and service.

Edit: I should point out on the S70 antiskid issue, that we were in the midst of buy back negotiations (Borton initiated) when they figured it out. It was due to one tire being one size off (they had installed the tires.). They had already replaced a good portion of the electronics and wiring at that point (all under warranty). It was my wife's car and she decided to keep it.

I've had very good experiences with Borton's service dpartment on both my 98 v70 and my mom's 02 s60. The only real issue is that it can sometime be difficult to get a service appointment, and yet other times it's almost like you can drive up and have them fix it. They also usually wash your car after service (always a bonus).

if you order over the phone they charge you 51.20 i think plus shipping as compared to filling out a secure order form through their website allowing them to process your order at their convenience rather than hold up their dept. with a phone order this method the kit costs 39.50 plus shipping which came out to 44 something for me

They are nice and helpful, but I haven't been happy with their prices when I go to the counter. $50+ for spark plugs, $55 for weatherstrip piece, $55 for a rear bump stop. Last two times I've been ordering through Waltrip Volvo and having it shipped to me for less than half of what Borton would charge me.
