Sooo....what's Going On With Lucky?

I notice Lucky didn't address the bit about Forge valves from the SS thread in his post here. I really want to believe in this guy, but...

Lucky didn't address *anything* in his post here.

Hey guys thought I'd touch base since I know I've been away from the forums and haven't posted up much in a while :) There's alot of press lately around ARD Tuning good, bad, and otherwise but I thought I'd at least address any concerns you guys might have. As far as other forums, most of them require vendor fees before you can post up and in most cases (Volvospeed aside) the cost just doesn't pencil out so we're not able to post up about any products or services.

With that said I'm happy to answer any questions around our parts or tuning and my email is always a good way to contact me.

With regard to tuning, we try to keep a very transparent method of tuning. You ask for it, you get it! Big injector, big turbos, nitrous, E85... you name it and we're happy to work with you to get it. We work hard to provide products and services that meet the needs of folks while still maintaining a level of safety and longevity with regard to engine performance.

Customer support is very important to us and we strive to get back in touch with folks as soon as we can, however our level of customer contact has increased so much in the last year that we now ask for 24-48 hours time to return emails and phone calls. With the amount of technical support we provide and being the only tuner in the building I do my best to get everyone what they need but I'm still only one guy.

I'm still the same guy I've always been, growth has been challenging to manage for sure but it's part of continuing to develop new products and services. We've got some pretty neat stuff planned for this spring so that's taken time away from being as active in the forums as I used to but in the end I think it will be worth it.

We've got a few fairly large builds coming into the shop in the next few weeks and I had only planned on posting them on Facebook but if you guys are interested we can do a more detailed write up including tuning methodology and parts. We've got an RN/M56 swap 850 we just finished and a P2R coming in as well that will be some fun cars to put together.

My best point of contact is email so that's the most direct way to get ahold of me with questions or interest on products, I'm a bit slammed so I'll keep my eyes on this thread as I can but ARDideas@gmail.com is best option!

Thanks all!

-Lucky

Here's his post. The only thing he says is "We tune cars, and take a bit to get back to our customers."

Is there a thread on the Forge CBV issue? Trying not to jump to any conclusions yet and read as much about what's going on. ARD really needs to address these accusations sooner than later as quite a few people are coming forward w/ ARD issues.

What's the Forge CBV issue? Just curious because that's a move I plan on making in the near future w/ hopes of taking my car from sounding like a dishwasher whenever I decelerate, to more of a turbocharger releasing pressure. Plus, from the little bit I've read, they're better than the stock.

(Just FYI, the sound isn't an ARD issue, its because I have a Eurosport tuning CAI rather than the stock airbox)

This is getting into the "he-said, she-said" BS, which I was trying to stay out of but....

Apparently, reading through the older threads on SS, someone received a knock-off forge product and contacted forge about it, who in turn dropped the hammer on ARD. I do NOT know if that's true or not.

I use a Forge (from Titan motorsport for $119)..put the right spring in and lube the piston. It works great.

Can you come lube my piston?

You guys are doing the same thing as the "glenn beck killed a girl in 1990" just because hes not defending himself there must be something wrong and he knows it!! We are modifying 15-20 year old cars and not one of them is alike, shits going to happen/break. I'm sure Robert is trying everything to keep his company safe and successful.

I started this thread, because I saw many other similar threads pop on swedespeed. 99% of the people over at swedespeed have extremely large sticks in extremely uncomfortable places, and will b!tch about everything. I wanted to know if it's typical SS b!tching or if there is something going on with Lucky, BEFORE I ordered my tune.

Apparently, something *might* be going on. Might not too, but Lucky's response in this thread did not make me jump to order the tune through him. I'm now exploring other options for tunes.

I had an ARD tune on my R. Ran great for a few days holdin 20-21lbs of boost. Days later got 25 lb spikes, car started running a little rough. Few days after, car ran very rough. Got a cel light, car ran like shit. Had to have it towed to my dealer, opened the ecu, found melted parts. had to buy a brand new ecu. I'm not getting another ARD tune. i would stick with IPD, Elevate, BSR, or whatever Viva sells. That was my experience with the ARD tune.

I don't know what happened to those people and their tunes, but to call lucky a scam artist is unacceptable and flat out wrong

He most certainly is. There's obviously A LOT you don't know about Lucky. Ask him how he got his base tunes. Curious to hear his response.

All i can say. The car was perfect since 2007 before the tune. After a week or two the car couldnt drive a foot. All i can say is i would never get anothe ARD tune. As far as how a flah can effect the ecu physically, that would be a question fot him.
