Two were for green injectors, but the injection constant was unchanged in both. The injection latency voltage correction table was not even close to correct for greens. The ignition map on all tunes was the same. It was only altered in the mid-range slightly from a stock map; he just pulled ~5 degrees of timing from the area our cars start knocking on a stock turbo. The overboost function was not disabled on any tunes. I'm surprised that more people didn't complain about hitting fuel cut or having erratic top end behavior. Two of tunes were for stock block 850s, yet the RPM limit was set to 7650! Also, both the soft RPM limit (ignition cut) and hard RPM limit (fuel cut) were set to the same value! THIS is important information. I haven't really pushed my car to the wall since getting the K24 in... or since I fixed it last Sunday (finally). You said two of the tunes were for green injectors... and you're saying the injection constant was unchanged, as in setup for stock whites? I have greens. Starting to feel concerned face. More motivated to look into self tuning. I guess when I blow it up, I will only then have myself to bitch at. But I added 2GB of ram to stock...updated the OS, and even changed out the fan, to ensure proper cooling! I wonder if there's a reduced tech support price for me to send my laptop out to him. Daniel unless you're claiming he modified it or something I'd be asking what you did to it. A laptop and electronics unit isn't exactly something he built. His business practices and the outcome of his tuning efforts and parts sourcing are valid for critique. CLobsinger Posted December 13, 2013 Report Share Posted December 13, 2013 I'd really love to hear the reasoning as to why Snabb no longer carries ARD tunes, outside of the fact that they may simply be nothing more than modified boost maps. Of course, that's at the discretion of Kristian as stated before. I was planning on purchasing a platinum tune over Thanksgiving weekend, but am happy I waited now. If it comes to be that these tunes really are nothing more than a minimally modified ECU then I may have to find another route... Luckily there are plenty of tuners in my area, including 034 motorsports. Still, a little disheartening as my interactions with Lucky were always positive. I never posted the same thread here on VS as 1) I'm not as active over here, and 2) I figured that the light emanating from Lucky's arse might obfuscate the message. Based on recent posts (both here and elsewhere) I guess I may have been wrong about 2). I'm not going to cut and paste my thread, if you want to read it it's here - ARD tuning bad review. If I haven't covered all bases then I'll be happy to answer any questions that anyone has to ask about my experience. I cant get the link to work?
