optimus prime
So should I "just do it right and order an ARD tune" now? :D

optimus prime
im sure glad i was as skeptical of the whole operation as i was.if the only thing different on a orange tune and a (insert color) tune is the boost map then its pretty monkeyed that he would charge someone hundreds more for what an MBC could do? my big question is why the hell hasnt lucky tried to explain his actions or at least deny any of the accusations? CLobsinger
I would say it's either because A) the accusations against him and his tuning methods are true and he has no viable response which will satisfy the people who are dissatisfied with his services, or B.) he is simply not good at dealing with the stress caused by the sh- storm he is experiencing in light of the negative feedback he is receiving. There are some people who simply can't handle stress when it begins mount in a situation like this, and simply shut-off. I'd like to believe this is the case, given the fact he has always been very cordial, timely, and willing to help in our interactions. However, given his bland response in this thread and the fact that he has yet to provide a clear and definitive answer I'm tempted to say it is the former rather than the latter. Customer satisfaction should be number one in a small niche business such as ARD, and part of that is addressing and sorting out issues such as those brought up here and on other forums. I feel that in avoiding the issue he is really just allowing his business to crash into the ground. /End of rant Chris Edited December 13, 2013 by CLobsinger
survolvo
I feel like this is starting to become a bandwagon kind of thread at this point. Specially since Mark has joined in now.
optimus prime
Nah jon just thought i would toss a smart remark aimed at people who told me i should trust lucky and not attempt to self tune at all. Dont get all butt hurt about it. Edited December 13, 2013 by optimus prime
Burn-E
Thread has run it's course really. Anyone who has something legitimate to contribute ought to post in the vendor review thread for ARD and link to any relevant threads showing success or problems. http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/topic/164748-ard-tuning/#entry2286135

Dick Dastardly
nope. Not yet. It's been a long time coming. Yep. It sure has. I should have said something 14 months ago.I'd really love to hear the reasoning as to why Snabb no longer carries ARD tunes, outside of the fact that they may simply be nothing more than modified boost maps. Of course, that's at the discretion of Kristian as stated before. I was planning on purchasing a platinum tune over Thanksgiving weekend, but am happy I waited now. If it comes to be that these tunes really are nothing more than a minimally modified ECU then I may have to find another route... Luckily there are plenty of tuners in my area, including 034 motorsports. Still, a little disheartening as my interactions with Lucky were always positive. Chris Yeah, i'm very curious as to why Snabb dropped the ARD tunes as well. There's a couple specific in indents that led to the break up. (I may be included in that honestly) And then another that kinda finalized it. I will not tell the story.. And I'm pretty sure Kristian won't either. It's not his style. I absolutely agree with his decision.

As much bad luck (my heavy foot) as i've had w/ my car, i'm glad I held off on switching from my IPD stge 3 to a blue tune. Guess i'm going to have to learn to tune this biatch myself. TBM
I bought a Green tune for my 03 V70 T5 during the Black Friday sale, but have yet to send out my ECU. How unfortunate, as I was really looking forward to getting the car tuned. I am going to request a refund...anyone have problems getting money back with ARD? Yosser
I cant get the link to work? I'm posting from my phone just now so will have a closer look later, but the link is also in my sig. I think t5d5 might be having server issues or something, as it does seem pretty slow just now. To answer another post which called for proof, I'll post a screenshot of the tuner pro comparison of my stock and blue tunes later.

Do it fast and you can cancel your payment via your credit card/paypal if he gives you a hard time. He will probably charge you $75 per hour, for testing... so he can refund you.
