I went to pull it yourself yard today and saw a 98 s70 t5, so i pulled ecu out of it and only paid $20 for it. Its a bosch 0 261 203 071 (072). Is it a true t5 ecu? Im also gonna pull turbo out of it if its a 16t. Any way i can look up the number somewhere to see if its a true t5 ecu? Thanks guys and happy holidays.

It's a turbo ECU from an 850 T5. Was it an auto or manual car? That's the important question here.

Because an S70 should not be running an 850 Turbo ECU.

Really ? OP own a 98 S 70 GLT(AUTO);

The one he got is also from a AUTO car, where did you get the 850?

Half of the 98 cars sold in the US market are build in 1997(split year), so 850 and XCVS70 series share the Motronic M4.4, only difference is the A/C command that is different (will fry the A/C).
