bob82pigdog Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 OK, so we now have a Southeast Region forum! Have any of you guys met up before? What has worked and what hasn't? I know some have met before at IKEA for a gathering, we could also meet at the Varsity or find a random Sonic in an agreeable location for everyone. Or plan out some kind of scenic drive and cruise around. I think at first it would be cool to have an informal meet where we can park, show our cars and chat for as long as people want without getting kicked out. A few other events I have heard of are the Atlanta Motorama on April 26 & 27th and Caffeine and Octane in Alpharetta, and the C30 guys are doing a Tail of the Dragon thing here soon. I unfortunately won't be able to make the Motorama, but I do plan on going to the next Caffeine and Octane on Sunday April 6th. Let's hear some ideas and/ or dates and we'll see what everyone thinks. Since the first GA / ATL thread wasn't really in the best place, and it would be cool to have ONE thread we can follow to stay in touch, introduce (or re-introduce) yourself and let us know what area you live in and, what you're driving. Again - I'm John, I have a 98 V70 T5M, and I live on the Northwest side of Atlanta. Quote

caanglin Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 (edited) I'm not really in to parking lot meets. I prefer house or park meets. One of the better meets I went to was at Fort Yargo. We hung around the cars for a while then grilled and hung out. The ARD dyno meet was also fun. Most of the meets I have been to were set up by T-brickers. I sold my MK6 K04 GTI a while back and picked up my 850 T-5 wagon a few months ago for a few hundred bucks. The tear down is beginning this weekend to replace the head gasket and get it back on the road 1 Quote
