STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS DEALER! Volvo owners beware.

Terrible service department and customer service. Took my V70 their for warranty items to replace power door locks and seat belts. Told me job would take 2 days, it took 4. They never called back to give me progress, I had to call them. Would not offer a loaner car or rental for delay, I had to argue with them before they finally gave me a loaner car. End result, items were fixed but their terrible service guys damaged 2 of my door panels, left grease (no cleanup) on all 4 door panels, didn't put panel clips in door panels (door panels were literally hanging on the top of the door with nothing else) and scratched/knicked the tint on my front 2 door windows. Tried talking to General Manager, who is the owner, he told me they would not repair the door panels and they would not help. Called the BBB of Automotive Repair to file a complaint, found out the dealership has 5 unresolved complaints and the dealership is on their watch/bad list.

:D THIS DEALERSHIP ROCKS, YOU MUST HAVE PISSED SOMEONE OFF

of course you are driving a first year model, so typical to have problems,

last we heard ontario volvo has made great improvements in customer service, moving to #20 in the nation, also having a 1998 why would they give you a loaner? volvo doesnt even have a loaner program, and they also offer enterprise at 30 a day, not too bad of a deal. remember treat you advisor/mechanics right and they will treat you right

It should not matter what year or model Volvo you are driving, you are going to a service department for SERVICE.

Ontario Volvo was able to diagnose my issue with just a description of the problem (Brake/Shift lock sensor failure) Go figure... My local service writer asked if I knew to apply the brake before shifting from park! This was his fix for the problem.

If you experience a really bad Dealer, contact Volvo of North America. Who knows? Some good may come of it!

i had a really good experience with this dealership. i was replacing the starter relays when the plug and all the wiring fell out. i did know where any of the wires went so i took the relay to this dealership and the service tech there showed me how the wires went in. very nice.

I too have had extremely bad luck with this dealer's service department. I bought my vehicle there, and the sales staff were great. Service, on the other hand, has been terrible. I won't go into all the specifics, will take forever, but I have never had a pleasent service experience with them. I DREAD taking my car to them, cause I know I will go through a world of grief just getting some simple service.

Nothing but bad experiences. Stay away!

Exclusively Volvo was recently bought out by Inland Volvo in San Bernardino. The new owners cleaned house, closed Inland Volvo and moved their people and operation in Exclusively's site. I've had good experience with Inland and see no reason it won't be the smae operation in their new location. Good riddance to the old crew. B)

I took my 1998 s70 to them for an SRS light being on. They told me it would be $1400 to replace the driver's side airbag to resolve the problem and charged me $125. I then diagnosed the problem with a guy over the phone from tomsforeign.com after trying a used airbag from them and tried to reset the light with the tool and it didn't work- he recommended trying a used ABS controller module and exchanged it straight across which worked perfectly and has for over a year now. It's a little sad, I feel, that a guy at a used parts dealer diagnosed my problem correctly over the phone without the VST and WITHOUT SEEING THE CAR, FOR FREE- while these guys had all the tools and I'm sure would have happily charged me more on top of the airbag cost to replace the module when the airbag wasn't faulty in the first place. I go to the local independent guys for any work needed. Dealers are idiots in general. If you see a young guy working at a dealership- he has no experience and will just screw up your car. If you see an old guy working at a dealership, he's too much of an idiot to have opened his own shop by that age and will just screw up your car. They have no incentive for repeat business and make all their money off ROUTINE MAINTENANCE which a monkey could do- I know because I always do my own routine maintenance and I'm a total hack mechanic.
