Zappo
There is another novice school at the end of May, the Sunday before Memorial Day. http://www.bscc.net/index.php/schedule/autocross/details/105-novice-school
valeyard
Cool! I already signed up. But it seems we will be sharing the place with scca folks? http://www.nwr-scca.org/solo/Schedule.asp
Zappo
They will be at the other end of the track. Usually if there is a second school in the year, we share the track. The only odd thing is you will have to sign 2 waivers to get in, one for each event.

I guess cost wise they are similar in terms of $/lap compared to an ordinary autox event. But it's in packwood, which according to google maps takes 2.5hr of driving from seattle =(
Zappo
Evo school is at another level. I need to do them at some point, but you are better off starting out with the BSCC school. Evo is for people who are already experienced. I have raced at Packwood a few times and it is about 2 hours from Seattle. Limited places to stay there though. FrankenMoose
Novice class is a blast! I will be out of town for this one. I'd highly recommend going if anyone is on the fence about attending.

But it seems 24 runs in a day will be way more productively (time-wise) than perhaps 8 runs in 3 different weekends compared to a typical autox event. I am looking for concentrated dose of autox seat time and aside from practice days at the end/beginning of the season, they seem to be the next best option. I am looking into http://www.evoschool.com/schools and it seems phase one (also called scca startline in other places?) is mainly for novice, going through the basics. I think you were talking about phase two or challenge school which is geared toward experienced people? or I misunderstood? Btw, I later found out why my lug bolts didn't work on your pegs, the discount tire guy sold me lug bolts that were 6mm shorter than the stock one. =(
jwestbury
How's the track down there? Since I have an auto (and I'm not gonna do a manual swap, since like 90% of my driving is one-block-at-a-time in traffic), curious if I can just stick it in first and rely on the tall gearing to get me by. Zappo
2nd gear. I ran auto for the first few years I raced.
