Simply Volvo
Looks great! No more copper gasket? When the rings bite into the cylinder head to make the seal, does this mean you can only use the cylinder head once?Any custom machining?Any information on where you purchased that from? I'm considering making some changes with my head gasket setup. Edited June 9, 2015 by Simply Volvo
VulvaS40T4
No more copper gasket. That did not work on friends car. You have to shave 0.1mm off from cylinder head everytime you take cylinder head off so nothing special needed. This fits directly and does not require any custom modifications to block or head. These are custom made by Proengines here in finland and you can buy this kit with 300euros directly from him.http://www.proengines.fi/ info@proengines.fi
lookforjoe
765 pressureplate needs adapter between block and gearbox to clear gearbox and also modification to slave cylinder. So it wont be bolt on job but will work. Also my friend uses newer gearbox which has also wrong spline count for 850r clutch disc. I think it was some Ford disc plate he was using. Mine is the newer spline count (M66) - if you can find out from him what disc he used, that would be useful information Any pics of the failed copper gasket? Curious to see what happened. Sute
Copper gaskets usually seeps water, but "stop leak" helps, like in my case.

VulvaS40T4
My engine will be using stock headgasket and will limit torque to 650nm and power to 650-700hp which is max stock block and headgasket will hold. Same torque limit on T5 engines block is 800nm and after that it will sooner or later crack...Possible on next winter new block with darton sleeves and this cooper ring headgasket. My car should be running in couple of weeks time with lower power. Only mods now that improved hx40 compressor side and liner shims between cylinders and extra breather catch can between oil pan and big catch can. Also big catch can oil return will be modded to drain over the oil level on oil pan which works much better than under the oil level. Tested that.
