Chilled man Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 Purchased the Car with 5 Miles on it. Yes that is correct 5 miles. Here is some mid fix photos , the car has been up and running for over 3 months inspected and finished and all that jazz just dont have any done photos. The replacement front clip $10k ish for the car $4k for the front clip in the same color $4k in additonal parts - Airbags and stuff So total right around $20k for a car with 5miles on it and no R title.
Kevin. Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 So what, they drove it off the lot and wrecked it?
Chilled man Posted June 2, 2014 Author Report Posted June 2, 2014 Drove it off the back of the car carrier
BlackT5 Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 Nice work! What did you have to use off the clip besides the body panels? Just the frame rails?
(n)A-GAME Posted June 5, 2014 Report Posted June 5, 2014 Nice to see you're back at it J! Love the Ember Black too.
Chilled man Posted June 5, 2014 Author Report Posted June 5, 2014 Nice work! What did you have to use off the clip besides the body panels? Just the frame rails? Everything on the front of the car including headlights and body panels. So rad , rad support , headlights, misc parts, bumper, fogs , driver side fender Driver side bumper support - you can see it was cut off and then pop rivted and then welded back in place. Nice to see you're back at it J! Love the Ember Black too. Yeah it is a sharp wagon , I will see if I can get photos of it this weekend all finished. The nice thing with having to do no painting with this car was you now cant even tell anything was ever fixed
Commander Riker Posted June 10, 2014 Report Posted June 10, 2014 Damn. Like it never even happened. How far did it fall? Do you know?
Scootdiggity Posted July 1, 2014 Report Posted July 1, 2014 So has it been sitting for the last two years how doesnt it have a salvage title, did the car carrier company buy it after they wrecked
Chilled man Posted July 2, 2014 Author Report Posted July 2, 2014 So has it been sitting for the last two years how doesnt it have a salvage title, did the car carrier company buy it after they wrecker My understanding is the car was never titled in the first place . I am not sure how the paper work goes after that . I do know they have accidents like this with many cars in transporting them over seas and there are full recon / body shops that will fix "shipping issues" with out ever going through a normal insurance agency. The car could be as damaged as this or more and will be fixed and the title will never reflect the damage was done.
Kevin. Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 sell it as new? or how does that work? barely used I guess?
Chilled man Posted July 2, 2014 Author Report Posted July 2, 2014 sell it as new? or how does that work? barely used I guess? New. You would never notice it has ever happened.
